Authorized Hunter Douglas Dealer in Belleville

Who we are

DecorChic Living is an authorized retailer and design consultant for Hunter Douglas, the world's leading manufacturer of custom window coverings. We are based in Belleville and serve the Bay of Quinte region. We are an independent, locally owned business. Hunter Douglas is a brand we carry, not the name of this site or of our company.

What "authorized dealer" means for you

It is a short phrase, and it covers a few things that matter.

Genuine product. When you buy from an authorized dealer, you are getting the real thing, ordered through the proper channel.

Professional measuring and installation. Custom coverings only work when the measurements are right. We measure every window on site, and every Hunter Douglas window treatment is professionally installed by our trained team, with every detail handled from precise measure to final adjustments.

Warranty support, handled locally. Hunter Douglas products come backed by manufacturer warranty. If something needs attention after installation, you start with us here in Belleville, with a team that knows your home and your order. Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer, and we will explain what applies to your product when you order.

Showroom samples. You can see and handle real samples before deciding, which is hard to do online. Fabrics, finishes and operating systems look and feel different in person.

Why we carry it

Alicia Herrington has spent her career in fashion and interior design, so she knows what good window coverings should do. DecorChic offers an extensive selection of window coverings from Hunter Douglas, from the latest in home automation to classic blinds and shades, because it is a respected line she can stand behind.

Hunter Douglas product families such as Duette, Silhouette and Luminette, and PowerView Automation, give us a strong range for blinds, shades and motorized systems. Architella cellular construction, for example, helps reduce heating and cooling costs without compromising style. We can show you how they compare, and we will tell you honestly when something else would work better for a window.

How it fits with custom drapery

Many homes end up with both. A cellular or roller shade does the daily work of light control and privacy. Custom drapery, made locally and hand finished, adds fabric, colour and a finished look.

Because we handle both, you get one plan, one measure and one team to install. We can think about the whole window instead of one product at a time. You can read more about each option here.
